When we asked cartoonist Kevin Carroll why he made a series of comics dealing with the subway, he explained:

I just started to do them as a bit of  personal therapy. Like most people who deal with mass transit I’ve sat next to nail clippers, nose pickers, spewing sneezers and a number of unhygienic oddballs. If you don’t laugh at it you’ll get grumpy.
