December 24, 2003 Ð New York Ð Around 10:45 am operations at Times Square subway station (Brooklyn bound N&R) was briefly suspended as smoke filled the platform. Evidently debris on the tracks caught on fire causing the smoke to come though the tunnels. Police and MTA personal evacuated the platform and called the Fire Department.
